The Tri-Cities Coalition for Balanced Education (TCBE) is a non-profit organization that is committed to partnering with area organizations to provide a wide variety of educational and therapeutic services to the residents of the Tri-Cities region. TCBE’s primary focus is on people affected by autism, deaf-blindness, deafness, emotional disturbance, intellectual disability, hearing impairment, multiple disabilities, orthopedic impairment, other health impairment, specific learning disability, speech or language impairment, traumatic brain injury, visual impairments (including blindness) and/or developmental delay.
Prince George Promise is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization whose goal is to work toward increasing the awareness of the needs of youth; build connections between groups and individuals to serve the needs of youth and transfer knowledge within the community about strategies to insure future areas of success for youth. The Virginia State University Colleges of Education and Agriculture have united to assist the children at the academy in developing social and behavior skills by creating a Garden Friendly Playground. The garden will be incorporated into their science curriculum so that they will learn agricultural concepts in the classroom and then do hands-on agriculture activities in the garden. Allied Instructional Services (AIS) is a company led by educators providing high quality, cost effective services to low incidence populations within the public school setting. We work in partnership with the schools to ensure that the students we serve receive appropriate, effective high-quality educational and therapy services via face-to-face, virtual, or hybrid instruction, as appropriate. TALK, L.C. (Teaching Articulation and Language to Kids) is a speech language pathology practice providing screenings, evaluations, and therapy to children affected by articulation disorder, apraxia, preliteracy development and phonological awareness skills, autism spectrum, receptive and expressive language delays, fluency (stuttering), central auditory processing disorders and/or pragmatic (social) language weaknesses.
